- Service Books - A data protocol that blackberry phones use, it basicly tells them how to connect to the whatever network they're on, whether it be through data, sms, mms etc.
1. ENABLE SERVICE BOOK COMPLETE BACKUP / OVER WRITE / RESTORE on the Device, like this:
---Options/Advanced Options/Service Books press key combo
{Alt}{S}{B}{E}{B}
(This means that you have to press the ALT Key and hold it, and then with ALT key hold pres letters S than B than E than B, and release the ALT key
you will receive a message.
2. BACKUP EXISTING SERVICE BOOKS
--Hook up the phone to the laptop
--Blackberry Desktop Manager, Backup/Restore, Advanced, Backup existing service books to a safe place so in the event of a problem they can be restored
3. WRITE NEW SERVICE BOOKS TO DEVICE
--BB DM, Backup/Restore, Advanced, Left Window, find Combined3 .ipd file and restore it.
4. Disconnect phone from laptop
5. Battery pull, wait for phone to reboot.
6. Phone, Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, BB Menu key, Register
7. Battery pull.
wait the phone to reboot, and then go to browser and change the hot spot to browser, and done!!
